A yoke binds two together so they can share the load and walk in step. Ours is laid across the cross, with a loop for each of you and a heart hung at the center.

You carry it together. He carries it with you.

What is a yoke?

A wooden beam laid across the necks of two oxen so they pull as one. Neither carries the load alone, and neither can wander off on its own path.

The ring at the center is where the weight hangs, shared evenly between them. In our mark, that's where the heart hangs.

My now-wife and I dated long-distance for six years before we got married and finally lived together. Those years taught us a lot, but they also exposed how easy it is to lose connection.

We made plenty of mistakes. We struggled to talk well, found it hard to spend meaningful time together, and often weren't making space to pray or read God's Word together. So we started small: praying together, reading together, and choosing to be more honest about where we were. Yoked grew from that experience, for couples who want to carry their faith and their relationship together, one day at a time.
